Travel Portugal is an online community and blog with 170k+ members, all united in their passion for exploring the beauty of Portugal. Given the rapid expansion of the community, I was entrusted with the responsibility of leading the initiative to craft Travel Portugal’s distinctive logo and branding. This brand guideline outlines the logo’s intended purpose and provides comprehensive instructions for its effective integration into various marketing materials.
I meticulously curated a logo that exudes both sophistication and a touch of playfulness through its typography. This approach underscores the company’s dual mission: to offer invaluable information to the dedicated community members while fostering a sense of camaraderie and belonging. We deliberately selected a vibrant shade of blue as the company’s primary colour, inspired by the iconic Portuguese Azulejos. This choice sets Travel Portugal apart from the traditional red and green colours commonly linked with Portuguese businesses.
Using a CMS system like WordPress, allowed me to create a cohesive website that was accessible for multiple authors and contributors to maintain the website after its initial design.
The Ordering Coffee in Portugal infographic garnered 1.5+ million impressions on Facebook in 3 days, demonstrating impactful design for online engagement. I utilized icons and colour to demonstrate different kinds of coffee, their cups, and the ratios between ingredients. This infograph acts as a guide for tourists travelling to Portugal who may be unsure of the variety of coffees available.
