VYCE Games is a small, independent video game company based in Toronto, Ontario. For their rebranding initiative, I was hired to develop their logo and patterns for the social media banners.
Prior to creating the logo, I was supplied the colours and font(s) that aligned with VYCE Games’ current branding. I was also given an outline of what VYCE wanted their logo to express; strong, edgy, and bold. It was also important that their logo utilized the “V” in VYCE and had some connection to video games. The bold and capitalized type in the logo stacked on top of each other conveys the strong and “sturdiness” of the company and the games they design. As for the icon, we decided to go with the silhouette of a dragon’s head, which references the origins of the company and their roots in Minecraft servers.
